We have learnt that we need to help the Mums as well as the children. The poverty faced by these families is eased by our support through education of the children but often the Mums are in need of stable employment.
When the school moved from 3 days per week to 5 days this enabled more mums to go out to work. On the school site we have a disused container filled with sewing equipment provided by Tools with a Mission.
In July 2019 a new group of Mums joined us as the first group of Mums moved on to other pastures see below. The new mums are learning new skills and making school uniforms.
